The Indonesian Coffee Exporters Association (AEKI) has just finished holding a Coffeepreneur Journey with the theme Coffee Restores the Nation.
The event was successfully and enthusiastically held in Central Aceh and Bener Meriah on October 2-5, 2022.
The General Chairperson of BPP AEKI, Irfan Anwar, said that this activity is expected to be a forum for coffee lovers or coffee connoisseurs.
"Also, coffee entrepreneurs and coffee farmers can learn more about coffee and learn how to advance the economy through the coffee industry," said Irfan.
Irfan also added that this is a step to take advantage of the momentum of improving global economy.
AEKI asked for strong government support in encouraging coffee exports in Indonesia.
"Irfan also hopes that coffee exports will continue to improve, so that not only will exporters' businesses continue to thrive, but they will also boost the economic income of farmers, traders, and the government," said Irfan, a young entrepreneur from North Sumatra.
Irfan Anwar wants the event to continue as frequently as possible. "I actually want it to be held monthly, with the location moving to an area with major coffee producers and players in Indonesia in subsequent months."
The implementation of the AEKI Coffeepreneur Journey in Takengon, Central Aceh, received an enthusiastic welcome from participants, coffee practitioners and also several AEKI members who attended the event.
"In the event, we also held a FGD (forum group discussion) to discuss the development and welfare of coffee business actors, from farmers to coffee exporters," he said.
The event is expected to further understand the potential, problems, and solutions to coffee issues in coffee-producing regions, Irfan said.
